I never intended to do freelance work.
But then a friend asked me to do a few things, and then my favorite nonprofit needed some assistance.
Then people really enjoyed and valued the work I did for them. Then they paid me.
And I was really proud of my work.
So I decided to do some freelance work on the side for the right people and the right organizations. I also decided that I would only do a few a year so I didn't lose my mind.
That brings us to today!
I keep building my skill set as a hobby, and it's fun building and reframing identities online. With my marketing and journalism background, it's natural for me to explore new ways to communicate, to share new ideas, and to reframe something old into something new.
Things keep working out. So now I am a freelancer from time to time, and I am pretty darn good at it.
