Create a logo in 6 easy steps

Target. Starbucks. Apple. Any woman who’s earned her solo time with a warm mocha and iTunes while strolling the aisles for “necessities” can appreciate the value of a logo, because deep down those seemingly simple circles mean oh so much more to her.

A building block for your brand, the logo you select doesn’t just represent your business. Your logo evokes emotion, connecting with your customer and telling them exactly who you are, often without ever saying a word.

Sound like a lot of pressure? Kind of, but in the days of Pinterest, you too can find direction for your logo by creating an inspiration board of three categories: logos, fonts and color palettes. Here is the board that I used

The trick to success, however, may take a little more practice because it requires you to refine your final board to include only two to three images for each category.

Now that you’ve got your board, let’s make you a logo!

Feeling all “but what do I really want for my brand”?
