Fitness. Day One.

March 14, 2015 was the last day that I worked out. I've been known to come and go from my fitness plan but I usually sneak something in between.

After struggling through a St. Patrick's Day race, I gave myself permission to concentrate on work and family with a promise to return to this subject.

Now, it's the last day of June and I am ready to get back into shape. My cousin (that I love and adore) has two kids and busy job. Very familiar to me. She works out in her basement every day. I can do that! Right?! (Check out her website).

She is a hard worker and an inspiration to those wanting to add a bit of fitness in their life.

I know from experience that I have to do this in the morning. I come up with lots of excuses between rolling out of bed and 8 p.m. when my kids go to bed.

So, I managed to set my alarm and make it to my basement this morning! (Yes, go ahead and cheer for me. I need the affirmation!).

My goal is to at least do the 30 Day Shred video from Jillian Michaels. It's my go-to workout and it's only 20 mintues. If there is more time, I can add in her 30 minute Yoga Meltdown video. That is my stand-by routine.

But, I know I will get bored so I am starting a Pinterest Board of quotes that inspire me.

I also signed up for a mudventure race. That means I have to train a little bit so I don't die in public.

I also purchased the T25 workout and will start to mix that in when I get in better shape. Soon.

Today, it was #riseandshine. My favorite time of the day.

I can mark Day One off my list and look forward to day 2, 3, 4, 5....
